Section A
Option A1: Candidates choosing Option A1 are required to answer all parts of the question to demonstrate knowledge, analysis and evaluation. The final question in Option A1 is synoptic.
Option A2: Candidates choosing Option A2 are required to answer all parts of the question to demonstrate knowledge, analysis and evaluation. The final question in Option A2 is synoptic.
Section B
Option B1: Candidates choosing Option B1 are required to answer all parts of the question to demonstrate knowledge, analysis and evaluation. The final question in Option B1 is synoptic.
Option B2: Candidates choosing Option B2 are required to answer all parts of the question to demonstrate knowledge, analysis and evaluation. The final question in Option B2 is synoptic.

Quality of written communication is assessed in Unit G453, specifically Option A1 Question 1 (d), Option A2 Question 2 (d), Option B1 Question 3 (d), Option B2 Question 4 (d) and Option B3 Question 5 (d). Written work must be legible, spelling, punctuation and grammar must be accurate so that meaning is clear. Candidates must select a form and style of writing appropriate to the purpose and to complex subject matter and must organise information clearly and coherently using specialist vocabulary when appropriate. Credit may be restricted if communication is unclear.

The activity candidates are assessed in MUST be one of the activities they were assessed in at AS Level in Unit G452.
The practical activity will be marked out of 40 and EPIP out of 20. All marks must be submitted by 31st March 2010, this includes summer activities. Video evidence for the EPIP must include the live performance being observed along with the candidates’ responses.
Video evidence must be provided for all final practical activities. Candidates must be clearly identified using numbered bibs and the video must show the top, middle and bottom marks.
